NOV is taking away Offshore Trucks

Bammel Office is taking away Offshore Techs trucks by the end of Aug 2017. A DE manager took the upgraded bumpers and brush guard from a DE supervisor old truck and he was given a new truck to keep. They also used DE Techs to do all the work. 4 DE supervisor and only 30 Techs.

What's wrong here?? Talk about favoritism.

Opt 1. Tech will get 8k minus taxes

Opt 2. FMV for truck will be added to your check as a bonus. You have to pay 6.25% plus registration fees.

Opt 3. If your truck still has a loan on it, you have the option to take over the loan.

Your choice NOV Techs.... Which one will you pick...

You're crazy if you think Gill will fix anything. He and his cronies are part of the problem!

Always promoting their friends is 100% true such as having techs south of the border with ZERO knowledge in managing and developing business let alone a country. This clan sticks together boys and don't Y'ALL forget it even if it means throwing money away. Hopefully Gill will put an end to it eventually.

What's going on with the rental department? Are the now part of service or separate?

They need to start with all the people that work in the office that could not make it in the field and never travel to the rigs to generate revenue for the company.

Those trucks are a drop in the bucket as far as overall expense. Those they want to keep will keep their trucks. Those they don't really care about will have the choice. If they leave, it's just another tick up in utilization. Houston Service is seriously the absolute worst in workforce management and HR compliance... and HR cowers in pushing them to becoming compliant. They actively discriminate and are always promoting their friends. Just look at the management team from GM down...

That is why NOV is in the current decline, because they put a lot of attention on the wrong things and turn thier head to the important ones.

Pete Miller was not all that great. He did layoffs in 2009 during the financial crisis. You're nuts to put him up on some pedestal. He was just in the right place at the right time...

It's been a downhill run since Pete Miller left. He would have found ways to generate new revenue. High on his priority list would be job retention for all, not just a-- kissers and family.

DE folks are nothing but knuckle dragging monkeys who turn wrenches. They're a dime a dozen... why should they treat them fairly.

It's funny though - that group makes money hand over fist and they're still being tight with the purse strings. They're all a bunch of clowns and couldn't manage/lead their way out of a paper bag.
