Any info on how much of hardware will survive given M9 is most likely canceled?
I'm assuming a small percentage will stay back to do accelerators, but question is how small a team? ASICS have been built in the past with an org of 30 people or less (Design + Verif) if circuit is outsourced. Not sure about FPGA or performance or software testing? Will they survive? What about tools?
Folks who want to say "hardware is dead, get out now", please refrain. At this point, people already know that. Either they are staying because they have a reason or they are interviewing and haven't found a suitable job yet.
