It's really quiet at the club. This website has also gotten very quiet. Are we getting a false sense of security or is this calm before the storm? Are they going to use us for the holidays doing god knows what other than our what our positions call for? Where's the new SOP's for receiving and claims?
So many questions and no answers.
I'm a receiving clerk, by title but I do as much work or more than the lead on the dock. There is no need for that position. there is 1 person on the dock that the lead tells what to do. When that person already knows there job. Wanna cut payroll eliminate useless leads.

i've heard the same as well. nothing as far as jobs will be affected this year possibly membership TL dropping and mgr going to grocery before holidays. after ybm it will hit hard. they didn't expect the break up of audit to cause such a ruckus. now with the tx and fl hurricanes affecting so many stores it seems we bought a few more months, maybe.
I will be checking in the am......If that's gone we all will be on register for the holidays,working weekends and nights....This whole thing makes me sick. My CM said to me 3 times this week that no more jobs would be gone this year just what we do

Respect only happens in my club if you are in the group of favorites. They promote their friends to leads and management with no accountability. Treat the rest of us as expendable garbage. It's hush hush with conference calls galore. Wondering what's next.
Just waiting for the next round of lay offs to take place. Managers are running around like crazy, talking to their associates in a very rude manner. What happened to respect for the individual, my guess would be that's a thing of the past as well.
I think they will keep 2 people on days in receiving. That is if if they don't go to all day receiving and eliminate night shift...like it used to be. The more that goes ASN I see one of those 2 becoming part time. Less and less is shipping fed ex and ups. And I'm betting those 2 won't be a lead and a clerk who is also on the lead payscale.. Who exactly is the receiving day lead leading???
What new SOP's are you referring to. We don't get updated SOP's every year
We only have 1 lead and 1 clerk already. When 1 goes on vacation it is rough doing 2 jobs. We usually work 50 hours that week. I can't imagine getting rid of one of us. They will have to take away work from one job. I hope all this speculation is not true but my guess if anything happens it will be after the holidays but no one really knows.
