The Store Manager role was never meant to be an actual performer. Instead, Store Managers are the flunkies who were simply installed to harass other employees and report back to Sears that the real blame for the failure of Sears is the (continued) poor performance of the line staff and ASM employees.
All Store Managers could be released, and replaced by the "rough around the edges" smelly dude who often walks by the Store pushing a shopping cart. Meaning, .... that transient guy who has alot more going on than Eddie L.
Yes its a joke in all area's, but i ask this 1 statement - when the customer comes to you with a complaint, b--ching about pricing, no stock, not enough cacs open, no help on the floor ... do not call a manager, you handle it yourself, listen to them complain for 10 min tell you thats why sears is closing, go to the SGM office and listen to him threaten your job because your not getting enough credit, SYW, MFB, PA sales, missed punches, punch correction, work 9 hours a day ..... Then we managers will no longer be needed, have a nice day
Yeah it's so crazy now that we have gotten rid of our softlines in our hardlines assistant managers we now have hardlines and softlines supervisors now they are doing the same thing that the store manager does they all go back and sit in the office and do absolutely nothing so that is what this company pays them to do sit back in the office soak up the air and and talk crap about everybody why we're working our butts off to keep the store running so we can make sales so we have a job it's a joke anymore !!!!!!!!
