Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

2nd Half is starting

Half 1 has gone. Some layoffs, little changes. Unity to EOL, vmax is still working, poweredge as the main rock of the datacenter (r/t/m), vrtx, vxrail, fx, nutanix, xps, a lot of latitude, networking is cheap as huawei is but cannot compete with cisco. A lot of fun for directors and managers. Field employees trying to find out what to do, moving from emc office to dell office, gcn specialists worried, ase/atc worried, delivery worried, support worried. Everybody is worried about the future. Tell dell results with "great" results.... come on...........

H2 starting. New sales quote in place. Lot of issues all around, ww visiting lots of offices and plces where we go.

Melmac seems to be having no problema.

Vmax isnt going anywhere anytime soon. XIO will be gone before Vmax. The 250k AFA is in the same class a-- XIO but the Vmax is scalable and as customers who already own multiple Vmax's there is no new training needed as there is with XIO.

There is no doubt about this. With the current business model and customer base there is absolutely no way that EMC can keep on payroll 40 thousand employees.

I seriously doubt Unity is EOL, I mean why in the world would the fastest growing $1Billion run rate system be scrapped and put something else in its place. EMC would never do something like this. Except for XtremIO but that was just because of the problems it had in the field. VMAX3, just because Pure is kicking you and all of your installs doesn't mean you cannibalize VMAX3 in order to sell XtremIO.

Looks like this is a common thread sorry I even commented. Still doubt it is EOL.

Tell dell results were always manipulated and no action has been taken on bad managers and directors for the past 8 years in NDC.

If an engineers try to suggest improvements in teams and products or write bad on management, their identity is reveled and they will be laid off.

Managers and directors protect each other's a-- and HR/Ethics's will keep their eyes and ears closed and good employees will be laid off. I learned the lesson in hard way, please don't write anything bad in tell dell survey. Fact is you are not telling Michael Dell, you are telling your managers.
