Q3 layoffs are going to be one of the biggest in Dell and EMC history is what a top finance exec from Austin told me over coffee. This is intended to shake up the current system of decentralized management of disparate groups and bring all of them under one anvil. Storage will have the major impact across sites and geographies. The layoff will knock of many senior roles.

No way a high level executive would discuss layoffs prior to the actual day. HR has instructed upper management to not discuss any upcoming cuts.
Fake news as usual on this site. ADC had a small cut a couple of weeks ago. No reason to make more cuts for now.
