As a Worker and as an Executor of 250k+ in Stocks of AAP , Here is the lo down . While D Jackson was the CEO , He was not that great , though he was affiliated with BestBuy he simply rode the wave of people who got on the computer bandwagon so to speak as technology was emerging . next When Jackson was eventually hired full time ceo of AAP and a few years later fired It basically states he was terminated . When that came out it was already in the works to eliminate people. Jobs were eliminated along with Jackson , 2 Board Members were added to the already existing board at 1.5 mil min each per year . The Application process was Dumbed up as well as the Employees which were hired in at cheaper rates , Older more experienced people were kicked to the curb so the company could show a profit through cheaper labor , Inevitably it has cost the company dearly with the lack of experience and the lack of experience and knowledge in the right position . Back in the 90s when the company cared about its workers , its workers were dedicated and took care of the customers which in turn took care of profits and growth , this even happened in the early to middle 2000-2008 where at one point where AAP and Autozone were less than a few dollars apart , But due to bad decisions , greedy board members who rather see numbers they have lost site of the customer service and the Competitors . Here lately you have seen call backs/ overstock returns , Its happening at oreileys as well and with the latest 2 round of layoffs/ job elimination totaling over 800+ people . Makes one wonder who the company will merge with cause by itself it cannot survive as its board and Ceo have NO CLUE what to do to Save AAP .

Exactly what has happened!
No investment in good experienced people with a good solid background and work history in the business!
This has been one of the better explanations so far, Thanks
Nailed it
