Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

NOT A BIG SHOCK!

After reading the posts, and speaking with several close friends that are still employed (for now) with this horrible company, I must admit that I am not shocked at all by what has transpired. Let's be real, everyone KNEW something when BOTH Molina's were "removed" from their positions within the company (yet still remained on the board). That was indeed the beginning of the end. There is always more to the story than what is being said - especially with this company.

What absolutely DISGUSTS me is that they announce this devastating news, yet give no clue as to when, who, or how this will happen. So the people lowest on the totem pole, who don't have 6 figure padded salaries, are left to wonder "will today be the day". As a former employee, I can safely say that they should be ashamed of how they are treating the people who worked their proverbial butts off because they drank the Kool-Aid and believed the "mission" of this company. The lies that providers were told, the disrespect of their members, and the horrible treatment of their employees - it's no wonder why the company is going under.

For my friends still employed there - you're in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Hey guys JZ here…..I see people are still complaining and frankly I’m tired of it! The brothers are long gone- and it’s time to shape up. Let’s all get back to work and make Molina great again- it’s what I hired you for. I want to see heads down into that Caid & Care if you know what I mean. Do your job - not premium coffee handouts, no bring your dog to work- just WORK- got it???

I agreed with the post below. If you have buddies in upper management then you work work to the minimum. There are many workers in Molina that have came from Scan Health Plan, some are good workers others have created this inner group with envy ness and walk around Molina as they own the company. Whats even more sad some coworkers kiss butt to those that have friends in upper management that came from this health plan. Lots of favoritism, extended lunch periods etc. will see what the effects of this layoff does.

I agree wholeheartedly! As a former employee I can say I worked my butt off and yet the people who sat on their cell phones, played games and watched videos are still there because one of the supervisors or leaders was their best buddy. They didnt go through the departments and lay off non performers while trying to keep their hard working employees. I dont honestly know how the company can succeed with that kind of bs politics. I was affected by the lay off this past May and none of my hard work, extra help on projects mattered one bit.

Sorry, my post isn't new information. Just wanted to thank the original poster for the shout out. I don't know why someone would react negatively to what you posted.

Believe me, I AM empathetic. However, my disdain for a company that so blatantly has very little regard for their employees is certainly well deserved. I'm not angry or mad, I'm disappointed that a company that claimed to value their members, providers and employees, have such little regard for any of them.

My energy is focused on those close to me who feel uncertain about their future. And yes, I absolutely feel that calling employees to a webex to fire them is cowardly and wrong.

If I left a company prior to a layoff and found a good job that I enjoy, I would empathize with friends still working for my former employer rather than see if becoming angry and venting about it. This does not solve anything for those impacted. Try channeling your anger into a positive cause...

I have a life, a very good one in fact. It amuses me that anyone would defend the actions of this company. You must be one of the six figure employees that are either safe from the layoffs or have a nice cushy severance package.

My heart goes out to the employees who are going into work every day worried if it's going to be their last day, or if they will even get a severance package. There is NOTHING funny about that!!
