Prepare for suffering and bend over, Agile is being secretively rammed down our throats and inserted into teams, daily stand ups, the ultimate in micro-management down to the hour !!

I see good things in it, but I can already see Honeywell management breaking it. Standard procedure for us: take the latest corporate fad, ram it on everyone, and screw it all up.
You have been Brain Washed.
I can't think of a management technique less suited to H as it operates now.
Agile, at least in software, originated with engineers. It wasn't created by management to inflict pain on others. I agree it can sometimes feel like micromanagement, but I like more aspects of it than I dislike.
Well, who doesn't have weekly meetings already, anyway?
For a large corporation, "Agile" is nothing more than a buzzword fad to look like a company is keeping up with the times, and allowing it to get away with not effectively having design cycles & writing stuff down. It can work for small organizations but with a poorly-led behemoth like Honeywell, it's guaranteed to cause mayhem.
Anything the ALT is to implement will be disaster. Besides, they can't produce a new product anymore even without Agile.
If there is a stupid fad it is guaranteed that American Management, not just Honeywell, will jump on it.
OMG really? There are a some legit things to complain about, but Agile as some secret plot to destroy the lives of engineers? And to boot, to complain that it is about micromanaging? Got news for you- Agile is used in high tech industries as a way to let creative engineers get things done WITHOUT micromanaging. I'll let you in on a secret- management is scared of Agile exactly because it is so hard to measure accomplishment. Pretty brave of those evil managers to allow that I would say.
You can always quit.
