Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Situation at Sears corporate

I just left corporate recently. At this point I don't think anybody cares about anything over there except keeping their job until they can find another one. They are not saving money, nobody is focused any longer on running a business. The people that did either left or are keeping their head down working on things they know make no sense and will not benefit the company in any way so they can get paid. That's it. Nothing is even tied to quality of work, it's all appearances - whatever will save the person in charge for a little longer. So there is no concern for anybody - working in the stores or not. I recommend you take that extra time each day to do the frustrating process of looking for another job. Don't expect any improvements from Sears any time soon. Get out while you can. Also don't expect good work or sacrifice of time to mean anything. It doesn't mean anything at corporate either.

how dare you slander a company that has given everything for it's customers. You must be one of those people who are alwys looking to ruin stores. I wokred for sears also and the walmart robbed my home and stole my car, how would you like that , i had two small children and wasnt even paid that much-this is what they have been dealing with in westminster , and everywhere-my purse wa stolen inside the sears store office, it was a franchise and the people ruining it didnt even give me the number to call if some thing happened, i called corp-but anohter store had tapped into my phone , the store phone-i dont know why sears does not secure their stores and protect thier employee-s

but still shut UP!!!

It's so ironic how many corporate people are crying out that it's not like that at all. But then why are you all on the layoff site if everything is good ship lollipop?

I am glad you left SHC! It gives me hope that we will do better without employees like that. I am from HE and most of the people here work hard and care about the work they do.

Too many chiefs and not enough Indians to run the stores!

Useless regional teams. Big expense and no results.

Cut the long term fat and big salaries. Some V.P. need go all moving to Sears Hometown to hide.

Plenty of people are still working hard. Store closures require work/planning as well as the usual buying, inventory, signing, reports, etc., for stores that are not closing.
