Not sure if I am giving too much credence to rumors, but August 15 truly seems to be the D-day. I've been with Nike for over 10 years, and I used to love my job. Now, it's mostly a source of stress for me as I don't know if I am going to be next on the chopping block... Even if I am safe next week, there is always the next round, then the next... Not sure how much more of this I can take...

If you're let go you'll be fine. Honest. My wife was there for 13 years and was let go during the last RIFF in '09. There is life after Nike. She's happier than she's ever been, makes more money and works for a company that recognizes and appreciates women. Nike isn't the same place it was a decade ago. Its changed for the worse. We've still got many, many friends there and unfortunately not one of them is happy. Its all stress and no fun. You'll be good either way.
Is tomorrow the day? Heard a rumor it is happening tomorrow and was told to keep it tight. So decided to post here lololololol
Nothing happened right? I think they were done in June but I may be wrong. I have no insider info. I was let go on June 15. Good luck to all.
Seems like this date was all fear mongering, but I don't blame it with the lack of communication from our leaders.
Different teams may have different approaches, but I was let go June 15th, and I received an email to an 'important meeting' with my manager with 90 minutes notice. Meeting took place in another building on campus.
Are you sent an email meeting request? Tapped on the shoulder? What if you are away? How does this work?
Where did this August 15 date even come from? We all know more layoffs are planned, but I hear September.

I was already laid off the first round good luck to everyone still there. I'm honestly pretty happy. Nike really isn't that fun to work for anymore, especially some of the leaders that are still there. There is life outside of Nike.
All signs point to it. Also very suspicious retirings happening just prior? Odd eh?
