I hear that they have been advising our management on layoffs. How can someone who knows very little about us advise management on what to do. This makes zero sense to me, oh well.

Either there is a plan already baked for Molina to be acquired, or BCG and Molina leadership has no
F"@& clue what they are doing... The layoffs and reorg makes no sense for future sustainabilty of the company with the remaining workforce even with the restructure... Morale is very low... It is my opinion that the Molina's are behind this to sell the company and save their own face/reputation and making it look like they are not behind this when they were ousted... The company threw the core values out the window with the implementation of the layoffs... Thanks BCG for doing poor research into the Molina corporate culture. I guess you can get away with anything when you are ranked as one of the best places to work.
Yes, I agree these layoffs are different and strategic to align with the new restructure. Also, no one will be transferring positions until layoff are done. All positions are on hold and may be closed If not aligned with the new structure. Good Luck to all!
The previous comment is true if referring to the TX HP layoffs that occurred in May. It is still unclear as to what criteria was used during that layoff process. As for the two waves of layoffs announced in July, these are being managed by the corporate senior leadership team and Boston Consulting Group.
I dont agree. While there were lay offs this past May many of the ones who were offered other positions in another dept were buddies with the supervisors and managers. Mattered not how productive a person was if they werent "in" with a sup or manager they werent offered another postion.
Yep they go by numbers not names
It keeps things objective and focuses on metrics and not who is friends with who. That's how all large companies do big layoffs.
