Irving site assist with all states houston does not from my understandin. Just like this new position that does the same thing as TLs. What use to have a group that does the same thing. Also if your are not all state trained why keep you when another site does more. Me personally i would have offered houston a transfer option ( so noone is out of a job) but that's neither here or there.

Email just received in WA:

Call centers in Houston, Illinois, Wisconsin, South Carolina and New York will be closed by the end of the year. Michigan, Utah and Washington will close by summer 2018. California will decrease in size by 2018.

Giving that they said lay offs are till sept 30th. Do they plan to inform the employees working in these offices. I'm in the Texas office and I have yet to hear anything. Also the main post says Texas is closing and than another person says irving, Texas is safe. So they plan to only leave 1 office open in Texas ?

Does anyone have any information if the closing of all these call centers are included in the 1500 laid off or is this in addition to those layoffs?

There are a total of 8 sites closing in two waves. The first set are closing Middle of December and everyone else will finish out in Summer 2018. The remaining sites are Mississippi, Iriving, Texas, Flordia, Puerto Rico, Ohio, California, and I believe there maybe a few more but those are the few I can remember off top of my head.

The sad part for me is to hear that the Houston site is the top performing in the region and our center gets closed. Way to say thanks for doing your job well huh?

This is not actually not assuring! I thought the laid off will be done by September 30, 2017 and then it will be done. SO this is telling me that after December 2018, there will be more changes?! Why? SO ?there will be progressive laid offs even after Sept 30, 2017? This does not look very good! Really? Why?

No one is safe, as no one knows who will be impacted! Think doesn't mean anything! So tell your manager to stop giving false expectations.

My manager said that we are PROBABLY safe until 12/2018, that's all what she said (this is re CA Call Ctr) - with this being said, she THINKS that, and she did not have solid info. Now, people start repeating this as it's a concrete and set-in-stone statement - the fact is, things keep changing and will for a while.

We do know what six CC-s are closing, just look what the original poster noted above.

Why do people think they're safe? NO ONE OR STATE IS SAFE!!!!! Stop it.
