That's not how it works lol
Usually the stockholders will see through that and ask why the company "growth" is only because of cuts and layoffs and not actual growth. I've been on earnings calls for other companies where this question has been asked by investors. At the end of the day, they have to figure out how to get real growth. Hopefully they can make that happen.
