Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Quota is outrageous with zero traffic

Quota is ridiculous so many reps zero traffic its geared to barely hit a check if you're lucky. Someone is making some good money and its not the front line anymore.

That's a poor outlook on the industry. I'm still in sales after leaving Verizon and I don't deal with anywhere near the amount of sh-- Verizon reps deal with.

I have one job and that's to sell not deal with tech stuff or billing or 20 different things, I don't have a quota that changes monthly and I certainly don't have to worry about selling more and making less. Leadership screws you every chance because you let them. Nobody wants to have a voice at Verizon and instead rather continue drinking the look aid. How sales works at Verizon is not the norm it's far from it.

Welcome to sales. At the end of the day you will either adapt and prosper or fade to dust. The "Change Energizes Us" mantra exemplifies the adaptability required to survive in this competitive market.

You can either get past the Millennial entitlement, or I hear Wal-Mart is hiring...

Pick up a phone and call prospects you weak a-- salesman. People like you are the reason larger businesses can't continue to carry their own weight.

Self terminate from the company and start s---ing d--k on the corner instead of the sales floor.

Pacing for close to 200% new and still only going to hit a 1.0 and 90% sales dollars or so. The upgrade and sales dollars quotas are absolutely absurd. Entire district is pacing for 60% across the board.

If you guys hate the job so much, then quit. You're not forced to work for Verizon. My guess is that you know that you can't get find any other job out there that will pay the same amount of money for your experience and or education and that's why you're still there. And as far as this posting about a union, you are probably CWA.

I had to responded to an email today regarding quota and strategic products, that math formula given to me required 16 new strategic products a day, I'd be happy with 16 new/renew of anything a day. HUM is a niche, and not worth $20 a month unless pressed without integrity, tablets are saturated, hotspots pointless and watches are still struggling market.

I am management and telly employees a union might be able to help. It certainly wouldn't hurt at this point.

Remember at Verizon "Change energizes us"

But seriously you guys are working harder not smarter.

Your quota continues to increase

Your job title changes on a daily basis and with that more and more responsibilities are being dumped on you without compensation and no relief on your quota.

It could change but that require wireless workers to stand up and voice their displeasure but instead you will continue to be obedient and complain on a forum which has zero impact on your job life.

I am the top rep in my store. My highest commission check this year was 975 in July. Last year in July I cleared 2900. The money is going somewhere but not in our pockets. Apparently we were overplayed last year. Ha!

Add to that expanded, and newer/better looking indirect popping up rather close to Corperate stores.

Now closed on Sundays, and shorter hours with 1 hour lunches. The 20% we are short was had on Sundays last year. We are just set up to fail. Morale and common beliefs emplors individuals to excompass work with devetion and passion. They have removed both morale and shared beliefs, results are the proof.
