All leaders get big bonuses , enough for retire now, and cisco is public company , that is why those leaders will not worry, they don't own company
Cisco is the great divide the Executives making crazy money and the workers making average pay with the layoff notice anytime....
He's not worried because all the people that work for him (including the board) love him. He's in charge of a company that makes products that are just "good enough". No thought leadership from him or his staff, they just collect $1M/yr salaries+bonuses and cash in stock meanwhile the employees doing the work (that have to work to pay their bills) are updating linkedin pages and interviewing.
Most midlevel employees are more concerned with rising to director than making good products.
