Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

For those who say Allstate didn't have layoffs

Of course they try to keep it as quiet as possible. It's only announced if they are legally required to or a reporter gets wind of it. Get you head out of the sand.

These are just a few articles. I was laid off with over 200 people across the country last year and the news only made Roanoke.

No, assuming you were a part of the most recent and only layoff that occurred this summer, you're correct. No one is debating that. There have NOT been previous Claim layoffs that were not associated with an isolated office closing. Read the previous posts.

Wow, I must have been mistaken when I was layed off after over 30 years along with 5 of 8 other unit members. Guess I'll show up for work on Monday. Thanks for clearing that up.

These are not Claims layoffs. Posters have repeatedly referenced massive claims layoffs (plural). Not the case. And yes, all company's face the difficult decision of laying off workers during shrinking business cycles or economic downturns. Fact of life.
