Impossible to have ANY QUALITY OF LIFE

I feel sorry for the friends I have that work for UP, I will never go back and work for a company that puts investor profits well over safety. As an arsa supervisor I have witnessed how much that talk a good fight then shove a spike maul up your a--! Go ahead UP continue on the path your headed cut the work force bring in contractors who have no stake in the company. Promise the world on how safe you operate.

Promise your workforce better conditions then slap them in the face for building a top notch transportation company then striping them of their pride by cutting jobs... The pressure that is directed to its field workers and supervisors is stretched so thin that its almost impossible to have ANY QUALITY OF LIFE for the backbone of this company.. run my friends before its to late this company will find a way to blame you for the future!

I left the UP in June of 2017 after only 6 years of service, probably one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I was gone all of the time away from home and making no money really to speak of, other than a mediocre retirement and insurance that's getting worse by the the year the UP doesn't have anything to offer.

I feel sorry for my brothers and sisters that are still out there change is never easy but it has been a blessing for me.

Well said, "anonymous"! UP could give a rat's a-- about safety, or it's employees. Worse company, bar none. Sh--ty Union, too. UP will destroy your life, health, and future.
