Lots of change incoming - not for the better

Amazon issued 13 plus billion in bonds on Tuesday, that with their current debt of 8 billion, plus WFM debt of 1 billion means that they are in on the long haul with WFM. It also means lots of change, either good or bad it will affect every WFM employee, most lilely for the worst. Goodbye bonus, gainsharing, raises, welcome short term mim. wage, research fulfillment center longevity of employees, that's the future of WFM employment.

Agreed, @OFYIgjL-8jmm. Nobody should be happy about this deal. I am not looking forward to what's to come...

anyone know the process of Patrick Bradley letting team member know a "Big News"? Theyre paying a visit soon and rumors indicate he will be here to talk to team members about concerns alongside "Big News" it looks like its some big secret.

I've heard they make you wear a tether and only allow you to eat Amazon approved food and watch Amazon approved TV on your breaks. You get a minor electrical shock if you don't work fast enough. They turn off cell service in their facilities so you can't communicate with the outside world. Periodically you have to recite the Amazon commitment pledge and if you don't do it with perfect cadence they strap you down to the extraction beds and drain you to power their drone armies. I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.

There will definitely adjustments to pay structure etc...we were bought with the intention of turning it around. There will be changes to every facet of our business from global to the store level. Anyone who thinks it will be biz as usual is the idiot.
