what I really want to know is if they are actually coming and if so when and would it be a temporary thing or permenant

@3pgn I've seen this in person - small mistakes, oversight - all of this is punished now, people are written up for smallest things - this is your first signal that layoffs are coming. I cannot guarantee it nor I have insider info but why in the world would they behave this way?
yup layoffs are coming they are writing people up for the stupidest sh-- and rewarding the ones that jerk around all night
It's in the planning stage but do not have exact date. I would say it is a mute point now since the writing been on the wall for some time. If you do not have your resume updated and contacting your network then you are late. GE will be unstable for the next several years as a minimum. Many more restructuring to be done. No clear leadership that understands the business or how to turn it around. Immelt destroyed the company and got $200M to walk away. The BOD at UBER better not bring this guy on board or they will be screwed.
