Anyone else feel like they are not getting the whole truth in store and above? Wondering if more layoffs are coming. Business as usual doesn't seem viable considering business as usual is the reason we were sold. Everyone just seems eerily quiet (yes I know not a lot can be said while going through the sale) and overly fake optimistic. Wondering if we should be prepping for another 2015...? Anyone have insight?

Yes. There will be layoffs. When I saw corporate come in and try to calm the staff soon after the Amazon acquisition I knew we were all in for it. Like lambs to slaughter you want to kept things calm. Leadership should be the first to feel the cut...bit they won't. That will come later.

Inventory is going on because the sale is going to happen quickly at this point.
Year end is coming.....the best time to make changes. Just like 2015.
I would say its very likely there are allot of positions that could be reduced. The sudden change to do a full inventory this week makes me think something is coming down soon.
Ah yes, of course more layoffs are coming but not for the worker bees at the store. Data analysis can replace any position above a Store Team Leader. Time to thin the Global herd!
I agree that we should not worry about things we have no control over. Have a plan b in mind.
I'll tell you this much, if there are layoffs planned, it's been decided for a year before they actually happen. You'll never know till it's too late at the store level. Smart thing to do is get your resume up to date and start putting feelers out now.

There is no point in stressing and speculating when none of us have the facts. It would be much more beneficial for all of us to stop worrying and live life. It does exist outside of Whole Foods.
