Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

What's it really like in Tengiz?

What's it really like in Tengiz, Kazakhstan? I might go there to work if it's not too dumpy since the money is good I can handle the long days.

@1bqt No, literate people would not do that. It would be similar to asking "How is Houston?" when considering a job in Bakersfield.

Tengiz was wonderful. Ultra professional nationals. CVX staff generally good. PS. Nigeria was a nightmare.

1mek---- I guess none would ever use "Tengiz" and mean a job at another location in Kazakhstan.

Glad you're the only special person who passed reading comprehension in junior high :)

Since he asked what it's like in Tengiz, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that is the the place he is asking about. I swear some of you idiots can't read.

It's no glory spot but better than Nigeria. Make sure you go out with Kazakh nations if venturing out to guns and roses or other bars. Otherwise. If you look at a kazak girl or sheep herder the wrong way you will have a pipe on the side of your head and being evaced out
