Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

We need drastic change

More layoffs coming. Futures orders down. A geographic restructuring from 6 to 4. CEOs of chain retailers calling out Nike directly for lack of product innovation. Adidas and Vans on the feet of most 14-17 year olds. Senior leadership with limited visibility to what is going on below the several hundred VPs, where workers feverishly produce PowerPoint presentations with buzz words, but never is a strategy operationalized. Culture of honesty and teamwork replaced by cult of personality and internal PR campaigns to keep.

This is Nike in a nutshell, @OP3XHZ3-1qpe. If things remain like they are, I don't see a bright future for the company.

The culture and the direction have become laughable. Truly the stuff of sitcoms. Chasing style and fashion instead of true innovation. Leadership are embarrassing. Layoffs should have started there with TE. PHK, please wake up and reclaim your company. It's been lost to non-athletes who are more interested in chasing cool than making sport great. 15 years and I'm praying for a severance.

Right OP - several hundreds VPs - that's your problem right there. Entrenched interests. Silos politics. Rigid and slow.
