DA is probably getting a big payout to leave end of year. Same time NXP acquisition is supposed to close. Next pres. will be NXP's current CEO.

My guess is SM want a to settle Apple suit out of court and DA is a fighter and wanted to fight to the end like he did before with others. This is the beginning of the end for SM. And then for JT too. The ship continues to sink

His job seems superfluous. I think DR will take of the Apple lawsuit. During the all hands, DR seemed to be the only with command on what's going on and what to do. DA's reportee will take of the licensing business. He seemed to have done the company well during his time, but now it seem it's time for him to move on. Maybe CA could be the next CEO.
