Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

How are layoffs executed

A few questions here for Oracle folks that went thru this already:

  • How do they do layoffs?

  • Call you in a room? Conference call?

  • Who's present?

  • How long does it last?

  • Are you asked any questions?

  • Can you go back to your desk pick up your stuff?

I was let go in November 2016. It played out just as @gjw specified below. It was all scripted and quick.

phone call from manager. the call lasted like 10 minutes and the manager just told you what he learned from RIF training. the package will come in by mail in a day.
