I managed several auto centers for Sears over the span of 10 years. Get out now before the end comes, and yes it is coming sooner than later. Do not feel bad for leaving, believe me they do not feel bad when they lay you off. Don't find yourself in a competitive career market along with others trying to sync appointment. I recently left and I can't tell you how much better My life is. I stated a while back on here Santa Clarita/Valencia auto center was closing and today It went public.

ACA are loosing there jobs as we speak. Next up are the BSC. It's only a matter of time. Look around and start filling out Apps and taking what interviews you get, you won't regret it. If your in California especially the Los Angeles/ San Diego/ Bakersfield area your almost guaranteed to lose of auto center employees due to cutbacks.
They can let the S.O.B go that we have. Ricochet Rabbit, as we know him, is a worthless P.O.S. He won't stay at the desk. When he does he either ef's up an order or insults a customer. He has little to no automotive knowledge. The manager dislikes him, the techs dislike him and for me.......well, I hate the bastard. He spends most of his day finding reasons to leave the desk so he can go outside and smoke or call his drug addict wife to see if she is still alive. For the sake of the manager, I hope they don't offer this prick my CSA position. The manager is a great guy and I feel like he is a brother from another mother. But if they let me go, to keep the Rabbit, then his work load will triple. I really should have left a long time ago. I don't need the money. But I have stayed on for the sake of the manager. I keep telling him to find something else and we will walk out of the door at the same time.
Rumor has it most assistant auto center managers will be let go or offered a csa position next week. Only stores that do over 2 million a year will have assistant managers
