Logic plays no part in Qualcomm's decisions as upper management does not communicate decisions to line management. Labs can continue to be built out while the personnel for the labs are being laid off or jobs are being off-shored. Lots of past evidence of this... as far as NXP, maybe a US layoff would be comforting for the decision makers in the EU, as it may save EU jobs...
Yup, @OSVTOCc-2eyt, bad decisions are mounting to the point that there might not be a way out of it. It is obvious to a small child, but not to our management, though.
