two coworkers said they seen on CNN yesterday at six am that there'd be 120 (some) sears store closures in addition to these kmart closures announced in two rounds over the course of a week. Has anyone else heard or seen this? I can find absolutely nothing online, which is odd but so is two coworkers that don't know eachother (different shifts] stories lining up. Hope it's not true.

2yhz, you are the dipstick. No one is here for grammer lessons. Get a life instead of tearing people down because the don't speak like the Oxford Dictionary. These people are worried about making a living. Have a little empathy. Be a little forgiving.
This happens every year...so yes.it will Probably happen again this year too.

Oh I'm sure there is going to be more closures announced. 28 is far too low of a number
I believe the larger number of stores are those previously announced but not yet closed, added to the additional 28 stores recently announced
They probably wanted to soften the blow of store closures because they were announcing the 3Q earnings. After that subsides they'll drop more closings.
It wouldn't surprise me. Every year around 100 or so stores close around September
