Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Truth needs to be known!!!

I just have to write this because it is the truth and should be known by others. DXC is chopping people in many places but at the same time, a lot of key people are leaving DXC instead so good luck with all the escalation and penalties.

Since I left, I have come to know 20 other people have moved on. All these are key technical fellow for DXC, not those mid-management idiots. I am quite happy to say that IT for DXC is still an employees market. Now all those sitting in mid-management is breaking cold sweat on how to stop good people from leaving, the top management dont see it yet.

After this round of chopping, comes another round of hiring but before they find and train the right people, pay their penalties to their clients - they deserved it.

Good riddance. If you are one of those who cannot get a job elsewhere, then it is your problem, not DXC because I know a good 20 people who have moved on with higher position and better pay!

I got VFR too, at the beginning of July.

They suppressed jobs, HR went around cancelling job requisitions so that it seemed there was no work.

Meanwhile (internally), I had several sniffs of interest and two concrete job offers - which just evaporated with the HR snip.

It's illegal, it's called constructive dismissal.

DXC - know this. We are watching you, and you will slip, and when you do...

I was WFR'd and I have grey hair all over my head. This shows that age discrimination occurs. However I am glad to be a statistic.

You say " know a good 20 people who have moved on with higher position and better pay!" where? in the US? in the UK? Age of these 20 people? Area's of expertise ?

Yes some jobs are out there, but where I am they are not unless I want to be on call and work nights and weekends and I don't want that every dam week

Ageism against ML is warranted. HE is the king of ageism. We "took out" a lot of people and brought in a "bunch of kids". How that can't be a case for an age discrimination suit is beyond me. I'd much rather he be "taken out" and I'll be glad to work for a "next gen" "re-skilled" millennial in a hoodie at this point.

Getting tired if the ageism there junior. The age of the person isn't causing the problem. Whatever it is that makes him think it is okay to treat people this way isn't an age-related disorder

Great idea but this will never happen. Possibly the results and actions are more predictable then...

That's what happens when the company is run by someone's grandpa.

ROFLMA ... DXC just don't get it. The CEO just wants a big bonus for chopping the workforce.
