Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Does Intel have enough diverse employees on 10nm??

If not, that could be a problem and the reason for its delays. After all, we have been told in a recent circuit article that we have to be more diverse to be successful.

Intel has gone so far as to provide data from studies that show that a majority of technology purchases are made by women. Male-dominated design teams will continue to design silicon without the female or URM perspective. Our female customers will get fed up and purchase from other companies. And since Intel data show that technology purchasers are mostly female... Intel is doomed.

Don't laugh... Intel executives are actually peddling this kind of garbage. Either they're all brainwashed or it's some form of Stockholm Syndrome going on.

Good sarcasm. Add a pinch of diversity, flour will rise itself.

The problem in LTD and 10nm isn't diversity. You can add more Hispanic, America Indian and African American and of course women, oh how can I forget g--, le---an and transgender, did I miss anyone to meet diverse, LOL

In my two decades worked and actually directly managed all except a transgender, LOL.

No, the problem in 10nm is absolute lack of tolerance for any new ideas or approaches. There is a meeting with only one way or the highway micromanaged beyond belief process. Adding more diversity won't fix it, it is the poisonous cultural built on monopoly and arrogance of multiple decades. The warning signs were obvious in prior generations but the powers to be stupid and arrogant to see the real problem and now past the tipping point. 10nm will be a spectacular spectacle 😂

Only after 10nm train wreck will a change occur, but what will be left of LTD, TMG and Intel?

I think a lot of companies buy the diversity argument, but without any deep thought or research.

Scott Page wrote a book “The Difference: How the Power of Diversity Creates Better Groups, Firms, Schools and Societies”. It is the basis for a lot of the diversity believers. The book claims to prove with an equation that any sufficiently diverse group will beat skilled workers. Abigail Thompson, a mathematician at UC Davis, debunked the equation.

People who want to believe this do so because it is what they want, not what they can prove. Meanwhile TSMC and Samsung don't worry about such stuff.
