Things are definitely happening...it's just going on behind closed doors and with as few people knowing about it as possible. My area manager has been too quiet for too long (not even a conference call in almost 3 weeks). I've seen my store manager talking with people one-on-one about the new positions already to see if they are interested in "stepping up". So, it's just a matter of when the axe is falling and I get told "my services are no longer needed". Hope the best for all of us.

Changes will happen July 19th.
Interviews for newly created positions will be the next 2 weeks.
All changes will be effective day 1 of quarter 3.
Specialist will have 6 months. Which will end at the same time the DMs 12 months.
HRs / LPs will have multiple stores.
1 ASM will be let go at every store. Decided by the SM and the market director (same as last time) Expect favoritism. This is a set up for all ASM positions to be eliminated in 2018.
Corporate is doing everything they can to hide this. Including directing individuals to send out diterant emails to calm the storm.

At corporate it will be the day depot announces they kicked lowes butts again.
People choosen to be laid off have already been selected.

Their stressed because of the lack of work being done by people posting lies all day instead of working.
Heard the 15 from a Service manager who was stressed out today.
How about we stop all the rumors. There will be no layoffs. Read your email. Change sometime later on? Well that would depend on the direction the company would need to go to be profitable. There is and always have been change in retail. It's not people are out to get you it's called business for profit. That's why they do it. To make money for all that is vested in there company. If I would lose my job yes wouldn't like it but like they are trying to make it better for them I must try to make it better for me. If you are doing your best something good will come your way it just might be something different at the same location. Keep your head high.
29th makes sense since its the last week of the quarter.
The SM's dont know whats going to happen I assure you.
It's supposed to be the day more layoffs are happening. Then again, this is Lowes and those most affected will be the last to know.
I heard the 29th, then the 24th, then the 19th...now 15th. It'll happen when it happens. Only the SM's and above really know.
