Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Forcing us to work an extra hour this week

HCM here. We have been informed we are FORCED to work an extra hr this week to finish some kind of project. We are already working over time due to the numerous requests they have for us every day, would this mean we now have to work 3/4 hrs overtime??? Humana really has become a joke!

We can't generalize but oh boy, there are some coaches who know nothing about their job. Just because they were a coach in another department does not mean they know the stuff they are wanting us to know/do, and we are not stupid. When we ask questions and they give us the runaround, we know well they know nothing. Every time we ask a question to our coach, she has to write it down and ask some higher up. She does not even know the basic stuff! It is HORRIBLE! So yes, this one in particular all she does is mocromanage because she can't even share her screen to walk you through a process, that is how little she knows! It is beyond pathetic!!!! Give her at least one Mbr a day please!

You all nailed it so true! There is no balancing act, all is falling to the ground and so is our souls

For the HCM that thinks coaches don't do anything, think again. We are just as overloaded as you are. As for the salary comment. It should be work until your work is done but if your work is done earlier, in true salaried positions you should be done earlier . Salary at Humana means 40 hours minimum and no maximum

Ohhhhh so salaried only for certain things??? So why is it we have to take an 8 hr pto day for a 3 hr medical appointment? Or why is it we have to return to pay for that hr you missed to go to the dentist??? So "salaried" works only when it is convenient for Humana? I see how it works. Don't be ridiculous previous poster, we are already working past the hour every day, because we are trying to finish our work!

We're salaried employees so it's not a matter of "working for free". When you're salaried, the expectation is that you complete the work that needs to be done. It's a professional position so it's not that simple. I'll work an hour over my usual time because I'm a professional who will do what needs to be done. Besides, it's not like we have to do it that often.

I don't think is mandatory so I'm not doing it. I am not working past 4:30 for free. Once I make my member contact I am done.

It is a disgrace that we are being forced overtime. It's just going to get worse we are constantly getting e mails from our coach comparing our metrics to other teams and how we need to step up productivity . They don't take into account the crazy number of UTC calls we make, the horrible care plans we have to fix and how many surveys were expected to do I am organized and efficient but going to have to sell my soul And just do a poor job in order to be able to get the metrics and it's so sad. Looolking for another job as we speak. It's just making me sick emotionally and physically.
