I think in each area a group of CSA5 should get together to inform the country of the bull sh-- lowes is up to. It won't save your job or bring it back... it won't stop everyone from shopping at the stores. It'll give Lowes a big middle finger though and be there for the world to see. And probably have a felt effect to the company. Thoughts?

Yes well those who have moved on are much better for it.
Cant believe i just bought a work light from them. Its hard to boycott them when your local hardware store charges 2x what you would pay at Lowes.
I recommended that all Department Managers start looking for work the minute that I heard the rumors about the January round of layoffs. You're foolish to stay if your a CSA5. There are no spots in the company for you to move into, at anywhere near the same pay. I found a job quickly when the DM positions were eliminated in January. I was blessed to have three interviews right as things blew apart. Some others at my former store saw the light and moved on as well.
Lowe's is making some bad decisions. Part-timers and seasonal employees do not receive the proper training and will never be committed to the job at hand. We never could fill more than half of the seasonal positions anyway, so how are the layoffs bringing more people to interface with customers? It's a lie that Niblock and corporate have floated to the less than inquisitive media. Any idiot could do basic research and find that there are no more and maybe less payroll hours per store now than before the purge. The seasonal folks will be released soon if not already. If the LOW stock is shaky now, wait until the third quarter when the real damage of what Niblock has done really hits home.
My store promoted two new Department Managers into the Service Manager roles. Neither had been employed with Lowe's for more than two years and one was about 6 months. Another has had multiple documented substance abuse issues and was offered a promotion. Can we say favoritism anybody? People with a year or 6 months of management experience promoted over those with up to 12 years should have been a no brainer. It was obvious that decisions were made before the bogus interviews that DMs had to suffer through. You can't replace dedication and years of experience with uninformed and inexperienced managers or staff. I originally said that this was a loss for the employees, the company and the customers and I was right. Last one out of Lowe's, turn the lights out. I'm currently shopping at Home Depot.
Yes no wonder no one stays at a job because you dedicate more than 9 years of your life as a Department Manager than they demote you down to a CSA 5 for the next year for you to find another job.
Your not going to cut a handful of people Robert Niblock.
No job is protected anymore.
You can go in now and see how messed up the stores look. The store managers running around with his head cut off trying to make it look some what acceptable for an upcoming walk.
Im ashamed of Lowes.
Shipping IT jobs to India. Other companies have done this and the American people complained they cant understand them.
If your a reputable American company you look out for your employees dont be opening up new stores if you cant handle the ones you got. Bunch of morons.
The employees left working had such low respect and the moral was low as well. They came in and talked to them and ask how they felt about the changes. Boy did they get an ear full.
Lowes will never have stock as good as Home Depot and they stink like rotten cow p--p!!!
This would require money and since we work at Lowes we don't have much money. Granted Lowes does pay more than most retail jobs but it's not enough to live on and pay for a billboard. I looked into one for my wife's 40th birthday; a couple hundred for the space and then there was the cost of making what was placed on the billboard.
Perhaps a web site would be a better choice.
I was really shocked that more former department managers didn't raise more of stink about how things were handled especially when Niblock said only handful of people were being let go in the company. He essentially lied by covering up what really happened and he displaced 20,000 plus associates (the department managers). The media and the official Lowe's press release didn't even address that and it was impossible to get the local media to pick up the store. I was able to at least get them to announce the layoffs the night before it happened but no follow up story since Niblock basically said only a handful of people were effected.
