Continuous Improvement

So, who else had their meeting? What do you think will come from it? I see a lot of accountability, and a lot of rude awakenings!

CI is a terrible waste of time. Updating boards daily is cumbersome and a terrible waste of time. The point of CI is to improve the customer experience. Productivity has gone down because CI requires so much time sitting with employees and having pointless meetings. What a flawed concept. I can see it working in a factory setting maybe. The results we post on our boards daily barely change and are not key measures of production or of servicing the customer.

It was a huge waste of time, CI was implemented in Southern California about a year ago and it has only taken time away from productivity. Also comparing employees within the same unit is ridiculous, especially when a unit is outperforming all other units or when there's a unit that is terrible top to bottom. Yeah be prepared for the rude awakenings

Huddle meetings were a joke and a waste of time. If you passed the second grade, you can read an email. Pitting employees against each other in units does not help. CI is beyond a joke and another waste of time. What ever outside vendor came up with this concept is laughing all the way to the bank.

CI is Jack Welch BS that pits employees against each other. The "shrinking" refers to his philosophy of promoting top 25% and continually firing bottom 25% in any band. Oh, I forgot, we are a "Team" ... I see people in my area that bust their buts day in out put in extra hours come in early stay late skip lunches and are repeatedly told what we did wrong. CI is nonsense and the morale is so bad at company right now and our leaders and HO don't care because we do they work and they sit in ivory towers and come up with this stuff and are paid based on work we do.

We had our town hall a few months ago. The CI (continuous improvement) people came in. Told us about our huddle meetings and how we are accountable for our numbers and will be compared to our coworkers.

You mean the town hall? I just had it. The part where the words shrinking and company were in the same sentence was especially alarming. Depressing.
