It's a verifiable fact that Dell has amassed half a billion in cash to pay severance for massive layoffs to come, but I've never heard anything about July. Everyone I know says October is when the axe gets dropped on all their heads.

It's amazing that person "who got out of there couple of years ago" still posting on this board and commenting (or rather spreading rumors) on upcoming Dell layoffs. Maybe try to get a new job...or a hobby. just a thought...

Dell will make the cuts before the end of their fiscal Q2 (end of July). They need to do this as they are currently bleeding money, which needs to stop. The call will be made, and the number of employees that are needed to be cut are massive. Glad I got out of there a couple of years ago and am working for a growing company instead of a dinosaur.
July has 3 weeks to go. HR is having meetings and calls in all theaters. The show will start very very soon. Before H2. Kind regards mfs
