Heard they were going to announce a hiring freeze unless each SBG President signs off. Even on internal transfers between departments in the same SBG. Only time this occurred before that I knew of was during divestment or huge outsourcing deals Anyone heard anything???

Hiring freezes and travel bans have become the norm for our division about this time of year for the past 4 or 5 years. I don't think this is indicative of a divestiture, I think it is just business as usual at Honeywell.
Remember they have to show year over year improvement, and they shot themselves in the foot last year with two furloughs. Got to make them up somehow this year without going negative.
I could still see HON having a good qtr or two for earnings (but almost out of bullets if not already out). Sales should be the key. Someday WS / investors will look at sales and what the future looks like and not the qtr to qtr earnings shenanigans and the stories that leadership tells. I remember just last fall, HON down about $12 on earnings. Then DC goes on TV next day and says I made a mistake with what I said and then told another story and stock went right back up. The games don't go on for ever. Some kind of sale/merger would be the only way for execs to get another big payday.
It's more like teddy bears and butcher knives.

Are you sure this isn't related to the numbers being in the toilet and not related to divestiture? they announce Q2 results next week I believe and I can't see that being all rainbows and bubble gum.
