@6qss, That's what this asinine management of ours calls "being fair". Now everyone needs to worry about their jobs. These clowns sure like the game of musical chairs. Why are they called management and get paid as such when they can't manage a reorg? Christ.

95% in scope for D&C ? How is that maintaining business continuity. Poor decision by management to have everyone in scope for D&C. Instead of having a few people worried now everyone is worried.

15% could be accurate enough. That's only 3 more employees for each 100 to lay off compared to the projected 12% people are thinking.

@Oj89Z1y-1dqj, No, I am happy to be in my new position as a contract consultant making more, and I EOI'd, I did not get cut. You, however are part of the petulant, stinking fat that is eroding the fabric of Chevron, at least what is left. Prepare for your demise.

I was told my job position is also closed. No need fir me to worry for now. I'm taking wagers in the office on who's job is up for grabs and which people will soon be pounding the pavement with a box in hand. Let the Hunger Games begin!

If the best they can manage is a 12% reduction, what is the point?

1xmk you speaking from experience? You certainly seem very insecure posting the same thin over and over. Perhaps you should have done better when at Chevron.

Great summary @1plw. All I can say is if your position is at risk, better hope you are well connected, else it's sayonara baby. Good paying jobs like the one you have are few and far between right now. Time to trim some lard from the pork.

DWEP+ GOMBU reorg to form "new" merged GOMBU. 2017 reorg done by August. No EOI. Reorg includes ROM. DWEP+GOM ROM includes 12% closed positions. 2200 total DWEP+GOM according to VP MH in previous townhall. The FAQs say O&M and HR are not part of this ROM. What is the O&M plus HR headcount? 200? More, less? Regardless, 12% of 2200 means around 264 jobs lost, unless you go to a PDC. VP MH says 66% jobs stay as is and that means that in addition to the closed jobs, 22% of positions or 484, will be opened for ROM posting. So all in all, about 750 people (34% of total staff) will be affected with a net loss of 264 (minus PDC successes). However, affected personnel represent more than 34% of the new org when you subtract out HR and O&M.
