I don't understand why schedules are so bad. I'm not a negative person and feel like business is all about the bottom line. But how is it ok that i'm scheduled to close at 10:15 on a Friday night and open at 8:15 Saturday. There are plenty of other people in my dept that are not scheduled to close on Friday night. Can't advertise my shift because it's locked. Hard to find someone willing to swap. It's just not right.

The staffing levels are ridiculous,no help customers yelling out does anybody work here close stores position associates at open locations then you would have a better floor coverage.having to many stores is what may have contributed to a decimated stock price former gq CEO ruined the business with old ideas. glad I don't own any Macys stock and pity those who do.
how about closing three nights when u have a 4 day work week? example: macy's says if u work on a sunday and close at 7:15 its not considered a close. closing on a sunday would mean 7:31. But the store I work in closes at 7:15. N0 matter what time its is closing the store is a close.
I miss the old system. Was Way better.. Day shorts worked 9-6 and one saturday a month. Night shorts worked 7 to closing and we had a weekend shorts ...... Happier staff...we had life balance.
This is the reason this company is losing may good employees. No life balance. What's next working all day Thanksgiving Day? Will they take Easter and Christmas away too? This company is losing it's soul or should say they losted it long ago.
It truly s---s....I have been scheduled every Sunday for months now! Tried to have a conversation about it with my mngr but the attitude is ...oh well...
where is your manager to review the schedule before it comes out???
i see that a lot and it is not fair!!!
Try working close Friday and Saturday two weeks in a row, that really s---s.
