Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Total Count

Any guesses at the total count since January 1, 2017? I've heard estimates from 1000 to 5000 with the 5000 number coming from someone with an HR area.

It feels like the layoffs are every quarter. And if you are not liked by your boss, your job is in jeopardy in short order.

I think Sam Walton has a bit of a warped sense of humor.

The campaign for FYE 18 was named "missing in action" they wanted to do a series of smaller layoffs to avoid the media coverage, and work stoppage

It's hard to say, given the natural attrition, unfilled job reqs, shenenigans with Sam's club, small batch cuts, etc... Really hard to say...

I wish if someone can post a reasonable and supported number here, yet I am skeptical...
