Intel WAS a world-class manufacturer. It has now been surpassed by TSMC and Samsung.
If I was CEO, I would;
- Divide the company into separate businesses.
A. Intel Fabs and foundry
B. iCloud, data center
C. Buy Sirius. Start developing satellite communication, will be next big op.

Buy a chemical company and manufacture the highest purity chems needed now days to make sub 10nm work.

Eliminate IoTG, stupid VR, drones ... millennials and women could careless about that crap. Gotta sell to them.

Get out of competing with 5G and autonomous cars.

Eliminate CS and IT groups, and any group etc... Cash burners, no ROI, no value. If u can't sell the business for a profit, then it's not your business to be in.

If Intel doesn't produce enough chips, people complain. If Intel produces too many and they are sitting on the shelves, people complain.
