Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

JW future?

Heard a totally unsubstantiated rumor that JW is on his way out. Anyone hear something more substantial?

Need new face from the outside. Nobody in Chevron's executive suite is suitable for the CEO job. Ask Rex Tillerson for his advice. Better yet, beg Rex Tillerson.

Mike Wirth is not "worth" being CEO. Big mistake if Chevron deals itself the wrong cards again.

"HR is waaaaay to heavy" posts the loser who falsely claims that he is a grade "27"! LMAO.

I am pretty sure that being literate would be a prerequisite for that grade. Just saying.

Yes he is being ushered out due to gorgon wheatstone fiasco. Wirth to replace.

Honestly, I believe Chevron's executive management is very good. They have been focused on the right financials. When looking at the layoff numbers they arent all that bad. Mid management, however, is way to heavy and are not good leaders - a gap at Chevron. There are some good lower level less experienced staff who will do good in the future. HR is waaaaay to heavy and needs 40% cut. The spread between XOM and CVX cap is widening, which is interesting. I am a Grade 27, with lots of stock options, and with little projects and less assets, i am doing less today than I was doing 3 years ago - go figure. I wont get laid off becuse I am untouchable.

Thank goodness Chevron's king clown was turned down at ADM. We Americans can't afford to have our largest global food processing and commodities trading corporation F'ed-up by the likes of JW. He probably applied because he would feel so much at home with his liberal friends in Chicago, Illinois.

I heard he applied for a position at Archer Daniels Midland but was turned down.

I heard he was more on his way IN. He's here for the long haul, OP. More assets to sell and more employees to lay off. JW is no where close to retiring yet.
