Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

So Done.

Been with Sam's for 18 years ish. My current position for about 9 of them. And now all I feel is that I, and my few remaining team members have a target on our backs. How the hell can I come in day to day and motivate my team to do better when all we feel is that at some point in time we will be considered obsolete. I AM A RECEIVING TEAM LEADER. I have a team. I lead they follow. My team...includes my super amazing invoice clerk, my hardcore 5 days a week night guy, and my new 2 days a week/back up night guy. (sorry he gets no cool name at this point) And now, with all the b---s--- spreading online, about different changes, different jobs, new things, new changes... with no real FACTS... my life as an hourly really is s---ing, but as an hourly SUPERVISOR is s---s even more. So please, unless YOU know what the F you are talking about, shut the F about it. This rumor sh-- has got to stop. I hate the high school BS. I really don't like seeing stuff from on line that is complete BS. So get your sh@@ together. Facts. Actions. Those are the only things that really matter. You KNOW something, put it up. Otherwise, SHUT UP.

I agree I am the receiving lead I've been with Sam's 25 years. It has been good to me. I will be very sad if this happens. I love my job and what I do. I wanted 5 more years in but have been blessed with my time. I feel for my managers they dont want it to happen either but times are changing not for the better for workers.

I have been with Sams club 31 years. Im the receiving clerk and yes Im very scared for what coming, but I count my blessings everyday for my job. I got paid for 31 years for doing the best job I could do. It was not volunteer. Sams has been good to me and my daughter. Its a business and I can understand that. I will continue to do a great job and wait for the news. Dont talk bad about a company that has been good to us all these years.

Technology is moving faster than some of us would like. We have to adapt. Wal-Mart is NOT the only company moving in this direction. Imho there needs to be either a lead or invoice clerk. Not both. Way too much is ASN and more of that is coming.
