I just googled Amazon jobs, there is a lot available nearly all are full time and the corporate culture seems to be better than Lowe's. Although much of the culture you find in the stores comes from the leadership there.

Yes, Lowes is Gonna" get what they pay for" ; with good, quality people leaving AND filling (if they can) with part time people.

They are not Amazon...they better evolve better....and soon!

Nobody got it on the 19th. We did have a former department manager leave for a better paying job on Friday, July 21st. Another is set to leave soon as well. She starts her new job on August 1. Several more are looking to leave as well and we can't fill the open positions. Everything that is being offered is for part-time employment, yet Lowes wants 24/7 availability.

You're excused, you need to come to my store if you want an easy schedule. Cashiers leave 30 minutes after the store closes, sales specialists leave with them or an hour after the store closes. Us grunts stay until 11 or midnight to pack down the aisles.

Our home decor specialist has a 10 to 7 Monday through Friday schedule. There is someone else who works weekends and a few nights during the week. Most nights I see the paint associate putting away home decor freight.

Excuse me. I am a home decor specialist with a paint schedule. I open and close paint. I do IRP's and down stock. I must meet my specialist directives and fulfill the needs of a non specialist dept. I only have 1 weekend off per month. Please do not say that CSA's do all the dirty work.

It isn't going to happen in a mid week. It will happen end of a pay period. By next Friday. That's end of QRT. I don't think the Specialists will be effected yet. Only LP and HR..

Not me, I'm still employed - for now - by Lowes. It was an interesting day. Store manager and her peeps toured the store and took notes on what needs to be done. Of course my department got complements about how neat and organized it is. I learned that sales specialists leave at 10 when the store closes and cashiers leave at 10:30 or when their work is done. Us CSA's have to stay until 11 or midnight to get the work done. If they make me stay until midnight I make sure I get overtime for the week. Just my way of fighting back against wage slavery!
