The want temps because the cost is cheaper
They don't care about brining back quality experienced employees
Screw them better doors will open
my opinion : if you were a good employee but still had to go I would think they are on a re call list. I was many time's in the 90's. others ? were let go and wont be back. my saying back in the day was this. " makes no difference how good you are, it's who you pissed off last and where they are on the food chain" saw this many a time in my years there.
Why don't they just call back the guys they let go ?
yes. they are looking for a few temps. also the safety building is shut down and for lease. all other buildings are up and running. some dept.'s are on o.t.
