Has anyone heard that the long term employees are going to be given a chose of either their job or their pension? We hear that the announcement will be made in the September - October time frame.

I agree that freezing the pension amount effectively ended incentives for working longer to boost pension amount (no other real reason to keep enduring the torturous work environment). Don't believe they would give ultimatum to leave or lose pension as that would largely impact older workers and they've already been down that road with age discrimination lawsuit years back.
I don't think it would be legal in the USA to offer "your job or your pension" in the sense of losing the accrued pension benefits if you continued to work. I think they have already done the damage that they can by freezing salary improvement as a factor in improving pension amount with continued service.

I don't believe that there is any truth to that. Not that Honeywell leadership cares about their workforce, but they aren't stupid. I think this falls under the category of someone creating rumors to get people fired up.
