Ha US growth rate is so low, if u take China, India and a few if the Asians tiger world growth is less than 0.5 enjoy ur 2% raise every other year.
The stock market is only a fractional measure of the economy and a speculative one at that. While "Trump taking office" can be attributed to the rise in stock prices, Trump himself did not raise the market value. Trump still has not accomplished anything of significance yet. No term limits, no wall, no tax overhaul, China still manipulates their currency, and Obamacare is still the law of the land.
The market is up because investors are betting he "might" actually boost the economy and revitalize manufacturing. Full disclosure: I have no money in the markets anymore as I feel pitchforks and torches are the future. Republicans and democrats - working together for the wealthy and sh1tt1ng on the little guy.
