Referring outside handymen

What happens when an associate gives a business card to a customer of a handyman because they can save $ instead of having lowe's install their fence?

Never recommend an outside contractor. That is what Porch.com is for. If you recommend them, Lowe's can be held responsible for their screw ups.

Legally, by giving the customer an outside contractor's business card, the associate is indirectly letting the customer assume Lowe's approves of that contractor and will gaurantee their work should something go wrong.

You know how your customers are, the minute your handyman upsets them or worse checks out and your toast.
