CVE realizes they took way to many COP staff. Good luck all.
Wrong... There are no plans to 'turf' the new COP staff.
Most of the field staff in CONG will go with the new acquiring companies but the office staff are all toast. Probably some of the new Conoco people will get turfed since they seem over staffed for their planned activity levels until 2019 and beyond. Cenovus might also sell some midstream assets in Deep Basin so their could be some attrition there as well. Haven't heard a number but the 700-800 seems reasonable to take off the payroll but some will go with the acquiring companies so won't really be laid off.
