They've been saying that since 2015, when the first layoffs occurred. At one time, we had over eight D&C HES Specialists supporting 20 rigs - eight in Houston alone, not to mention the additional six in Midland and nobody was forced to move to Midland, TX.
If you find any of your relatively innocuous posts disappearing, this poster put it the best;
"The moderators on this site have the intellect of vengeful children. If you make one post that they disagree with, they will sort through all of the threads and delete all posts by your IP address, no matter how thoughtful, appraising, pleasant, not in violation of any said guidelines, etc. just that it was by someone with the same IP address. Like a little child slapping a fly or playing a video game. Which is why the millennials they hired for that task are as they are. Like the democratic politician who recently claimed that her definition of the first amendment is different than that of others.
How special must that be!!!
!Seriously, folks, do you think IT personnel who have actual programming, coding, etc. skills are moderators at sites like this, or the losers and millennial newbs who cannot get a better gig?
For those of you who get to read this before it is deleted - Consider yourselves privileged and more informed than most."
Midland - the hairy groin of Texas. Mmmmmm, pretty! Do you smell it? Just like fresh spring honeysuckle.
-deuw: If you hadn't left Midland back in 96 you would be a nobody. Thank your lucky stars you got out and we're able to be as successful as you became.
If I hadn't left Midland back in 96 I would be a billionaire....
6pnv - That's not funny.....
We have a Denny's and Red Lobster in Midland-Odessa.
Just a bit of humor on my part. No intent to dishonour the good people of Midland.
These people speaking about cacti must know first hand about them. And also have never been to Midland. If you have something relevant to post, please do.
Not funny 5hqg. Don't give up your day job to become a comedian. Unless your day job is materbating 'til midnight and sleeping until noon.
Don't knock cactus until you try it. My biggest love affair was with one.
Ha, ha. I hope the entire MCBU staff in Houston, and I mean everyone, is forced to move to Midland or lose their job. They take their cushy lives in Houston for granted and take themselves too seriously.
Wrooong. Midland is a cactus humping cesspool. Go there at your own peril. It's a career-ending decision if you head there.
@2nea, If you call Houston the armpit of Texas, let me prepare you for Midland... buy lots of toilet paper. Get the drift?
The people there are an ignorant disgrace. After all, they hump cactus left and right.
the reality is that Midland does not have the infrastructure needed for all of the business that is expected to be transferred there from all companies with stakes in the region
Being moved to Midland would be worse than being let go. The people there are an ignorant disgrace.
Bunch of inbred cactus humping rednecks out in Midland. I sure hope there is no truth to this post. May be the nudge I needed to up sticks.
We all know you're not one of them, 1ekr. Wasn't hard to figure that one out. Why don't you move to Midland?
There are "regular happily married folk" in Houston????? Sure had ME fooled!!! LMAO!
You folks in Houston stay in Houston. Don't need you or want you in Midland. We have plenty of work & plenty of staff. We have a new office facility eventhough it does look like a penitentiary with the fencing ( not electrified...yet). Don't need a bunch of Houston redundant misfits looking for a place to hide.
@1zgr, a single person is more flexible and can put up with more sh!t. A person like that can adapt better to a move to Midland. Maybe Chevron can have an epiphany and move all its single divorced employees to Midland and keep the rest of regular happily married folk here in Houston.
@1jcp how is it easy for a single person to up and move? Unless you happy staying single
That is old news or rumor. It has been going around for over a year. Believe it when it happens. Easy move if you are single, not so if you are married with house and kids in Houston.
I would take it in a heartbeat. Pay is pay. Work is work, that's why it's called that. I don't plan to retire there or any other place I am assigned to. You pathetic losers are spoiled and entitled beyond compare. It's good that you all live in your little touchy-feely snow-flake safe-haven worlds - LOL
I would prefer to EOI before getting transferred to Midland. That's a nowhere town. If you go, don't buy a home, unless you want to take a loss on the way out.
Uhhhh ya think
Those that aren't laid off first.
