Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Mattres Suppliers Failing

Two of our suppliers keep pushing delivery dates further and further. Customers get a call on the delivery date stating another week out or even an indefinite delay. There was a one day Stop Sell weeks ago and they are blaming the delays on catching up. I don't believe that. I think there are serious payment issues. We are teying to steer customers away from Simmons and Serta as we can't take anymore cancellations.

I am @ivt, I am a former Kmart employee who was laid off in January 2014. I have no idea about how the Sears FLS run things.

All of our Kmarts in my area have closed:

Store 4738, 2002 bankruptcy

Store 7239, January 2014

Store 3080 April/May? 2014

Store 4953 March/April? 2017

Store 3606, September/October 2017

Sears FLS 1325,June/July 2027

Auto Center April? 2017

One Sears FLS/Auto 2855 still open in a dead mall as of July 26,2017

So in my area Zero Kmarts, one Sears FLS, one Sears Outlet store/ One? Hometown store?

@zzn, what weird brands/products are you refering to?

Also are you at a Kmart or a Sears FLS?

Or are you at a SHOS store aka Sears Hometown & Outlet Stores?

We cancel orders all the time because we dont have the merchandise. We have called around to stores within 50 miles of our store and they dont have it either. This seems to happen more and more not just with mattresses but even tools, bedding, appliances and other stuff. Even the web site has not eligible for store pick up or delivery on many items. Sounds like vendors not getting paid.

We also are getting in some weird brands of things.

As @gow mentioned the suppliers arent the issue its Sears probably not paying their debt. I have overheard in my store how orders are getting canceled left and right. Kind of sad how this potential sells are lost and pretty much leave majority of the customers pissed.

It's not the mattress suppliers who are failing.
